My thoughts…

When I first opened this moisturizer, I was not expecting a hard, thick balm. I don’t know why... it’s right there in the name of the product. However, I was instantly intrigued.

It was suggested to me that I should warm it up a little before applying to my face so that it spreads more evenly. As I said, it’s a thick balm. I have literally never loved anything more!

I started using this in the winter, as it’s quite heavy and thick, I thought it would only be good as a dry season product. I was completely wrong. I’ve been using it well into the summer and my skin has never felt more nourished. I mainly stick to using it at night since it is a heavier cream. It’s fantastic for healing (and preventing) dry spots, redness, cuts & scrapes.

Sensitive skin will heavily benefit from this balm. I love that it can be used as a daily (or nightly) moisturizer or saved as a simple healing balm when needed. Also, the smell is heavenly!

I’ve not only used this product on my face but other parts of my body when I feel they need it. For example, My ankle bones get really dry and tough (am I the only one?!) so I apply it to them from time to time. I also have used it to heal cuts and scrapes on various parts of my body. It’s multi-purpose!

Fun side note:

My toddler son has been learning to run and in turn, has been falling a lot and scraping his knees. This balm is fantastic for cellular regeneration so I thought I’d try it on some of his scrapes that were in the process of healing every night for about a week. It made a HUGE difference. They healed faster than normal! I also found it worked wonders for a drool rash around his mouth. Plus, he found it very calming with a before bedtime application. I’d get him to breathe it in deeply and instantly notice him calm completely. A wonderful product for children and adults!

Wondering if there’s anything I don’t like about this product?

It’s a little on the pricier side for such a small container. But, a little goes a long way. I’ve already had it for six months and I’m not even halfway through it! Applying to a damp face helps it spread and as I mentioned before, warming it in your hand with either some warm air or by working it into a paste will fix this problem.

The texture may turn some consumers off as it’s heavy and thick.

I recommend going to see one of  Pure Skin's Aestheticians to have a skin analysis done to see if this product is right for your skin!
