Firm Skin Acai Exfoliating Peel

Hello friends! It's been a while, but I'm so glad to be back writing another review on another wonderful Eminence Organics product for you!

To begin, this product is different from anything I've used in a long time. The application process reminded me a bit of those awful acne pads you might have used from the drug store when you were a teenager trying to combat a nasty pimple. (I shudder at the thought of those...YIKES!) Yet, this product is completely different from the previously mentioned product, and a pleasure to use.

The Eminence Organics Firm Skin Acai Exfoliating Peel is a game changer, especially if you're not a fan of getting your hands gritty with a manual exfoliator like the glorious Pear & Poppy Seed, or Rosehip & Maize. But, I digress....

With this exfoliating peel, you use a little cotton round from a package that are included with the product, pump a couple times onto the pad, then apply to the face using small circular movements. The cotton round has two textured sides. For a deeper exfoliation, choose the side with smaller quilting, or choose the side with the larger quilting for a gentler exfoliation.

What I loved most about this product is its ability to achieve big results with a small commitment, and no rinse. There's no waiting around for tens of minutes to continue the rest of your routine. Simply apply, wait two-three minutes until it self-neutralizes, and finish with your favourite toner, serum/oil, and moisturizer. There's a light tingling sensation following the application which is so satisfying to me because I like to feel my products working.

A tip that Ashley at Pure Skin gave me, was to finish with a masque instead of your regular moisturizer. Something like the Strawberry Rhubarb Masque… (you may remember my previous "Kritique" on that product.) Sleep with it on overnight so it can penetrate deeply into the skin. I like to do this routine before bed, three nights a week for the best results. I also recommend using your sunscreen (as always) especially when using this product as it can leave your skin more sensitive to the sun. (Have you seen my review on the Sun Defense Minerals?)

The only thing I didn't like about this product was that I wasn't used to using something like this in my regular routine so I found it difficult to get used to using it regularly. Someone else may not like the tingling sensation, but I haven't yet met anyone who doesn't! Once I got that down pat, I was able to use it religiously three times a week for about a month and definitely saw results. I felt my skin looked much more radiant, felt softer and was overall more firm.

So, all in all, this is a fabulous product that I highly recommend adding to your regime if you want to take action against aging or dehydrated skin!

‘Til next time, beauties!
